Puppies bred within this project are available sometimes. All of the puppies eligible to be advertised here and registered to the  Tofty database are bred with health as a priority. We are trying to produce dogs that with correct husbandry will live to a ripe old age. All Tofty are guaranteed to be unaffected by Collie eye anomaly. No Tofty will be affected by or carrier of degenerative myelopathy. Tofty from a mating where one parent is a carrier of the mDR1 (multi drug resistance gene) will  also have one clear parent, these puppies will be dna tested before leaving for new homes. Tofty puppies bred under our  care and supervision will be raised in as natural way  as possible within modern boundaries. We want our puppies to enjoy a long happy life, and don't wean too  early in order to avoid allergies later. We wean onto top  quality food. Weather permitting our babies get access to grass and free play. Our own puppies are all born inside our home. They leave us with information pack and a supply of grain free high meat content (80% meat) puppy food. They are fully wormed and have been treated with frontline (although we have never seen a flea for  over twenty years) we advise that you do NOT vaccinate until your  puppy is at least ten weeks old and preferably 12 weeks. Tofty are very selectively bred the natural way, no forcing, no artificial insemination. Our girls never produce more  than three litters in their lifetime and  some are never bred from at all. Our dogs here range in age, presently our oldest dog is just short of her fourteenth birthday. We keep more males than females. We are building this new breed on health, longevity and diversity in immune system haplotypes. This area is very important to the dogs well being. We therefore do not breed from the same female very  often, nor from the same male. If we did we would be hypocrites. We never repeat the same mating. NO PUPPIES ARE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME
